REMINDER – The last day of camp is Wednesday, August 15th.  There can be NO transportation switches made for the last day of camp. All campers MUST take their normal vehicles home on this day!

We are hoping everyone is able to remain for the full camp day during the final week.  As there will be special events going on every day of Week 8, we are suggesting that campers stay the entire day.

Please be aware that the camp office will be closed from August 16th until Labor Day week. We will be checking our machines and calls will be returned when we re-open.

Watch your mail for the Summer 2013 Registration Material.

SPIRIT CALENDAR:  Our spirit events promote camp-wide spirit throughout the camp season. Please check the Spirit Calendar on our web-site regularly so your child may participate in all his/her group’s events.  Our last week is full of special events including an Apache Relay and our Talent Show!

EARLY PICK-UPS:  Please schedule all early pick-ups only between periods or at 3:00.  If you want to pick up your child after 3:00, you can pick up after 4:30 when all vehicles have left the grounds. Out of courtesy to the residents on Maryland Avenue, do not arrive early and wait, park, or turn around on Maryland Avenue.  You should arrive after 4:30 for after camp pickups—please keep in mind that you cannot pull onto our grounds until all of our vehicles have left for the day.

ABSENTEES: Please phone your car driver, van monitor or bus monitor if your child is going to be absent.  Please call by 7:45AM to allow transportation personnel time to adjust their routes and prevent unnecessary stops.

SUNSCREEN:  If your child needs to have sunscreen re-applied after daily swims, please send in a labeled sunscreen bottle.

NURSE’S OFFICE: If your children should come down with a fever, please keep them home from camp for 24 hours after the fever has subsided.  It is advisable to keep them home if they did not feel well the night before, or if they complain of illness in the morning.  If your children need to take medicine, please send it to camp with a counselor in a PHARMACY LABELED ORIGINAL PRESCRIPTION BOTTLE THAT SUPPLIES THE NECESSARY DIRECTIONS (time to administer, whether the medication needs refrigeration and any other pertinent information).  If parents are going to be away, and your children are still attending camp, please call and leave extra emergency numbers and name and phone number of those responsible for your children.<

CALLING HOURS:  Please phone the camp after 10:00AM.  If there is an emergency, and you must reach us before the start of camp hours, please do so between 7:30AM and 8:30AM when a member of the camp staff will be available to answer your call.  In addition to the regular camp hours, we will be happy to answer calls from 4:30PM to 5:30PM.  Please remember that you can always leave a message on the camp answering machines after camp hours and on weekends. Your call will be returned the next day.  The nurse is on the grounds from 9:00AM to 4:30PM.  Please call the nurse’s office only when she is on duty.
